Image upscaler
Double or quadruple the pixel size of a picture — and keep in mind it cannot invent detail that was never there.

Upscaling redraws a small image at a bigger size. This tool uses the browser's high-quality interpolation: edges stay smoother than a basic stretch, but no new detail appears. For sharpening small photos or line art, start from the largest original you have; for logos and icons, a vector version is always better.
How to use it
Step 1. Drop an image
Step 2. Pick 2×, 3× or 4×
Step 3. Download the PNG at the new size
Questions
- Does enlarging add detail?
- No. Interpolation guesses pixels between existing ones; it cannot recover detail that was not captured. Output is smoother, not sharper.
- What sizes make sense?
- Small images and screenshots upscale reasonably at 2×; beyond 3× the softness becomes visible.
- Is my image uploaded?
- No — the resizing happens on a canvas in your browser.
